A former journalist and writer, with a degree in journalism and sociology, Daniel is a graduate of the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and holds diplomas in both clinical hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy.

He is registered with the (BSCH), an organisation that governs the code, practice and ethics of its members. Membership of the society is only open to those who have acquired the requisite professional and clinical training.

As well as working at Common Sense, Daniel runs a private practice in South West London and also works as a volunteer hypnotherapist for a health charity in South East London, where he was formed a part of their local NCH-backed stop smoking scheme. He is also registered as a hypnotherapist with the National Phobics Society and has lectured to health officials on the use of hypnotherapy in smoking cessation at the World Health Organisation (WHO) Tobacco Free Training Programme.
