qualified in law and his early career was in local government administration.
A health problem inspired change in direction which took him into
social work for nine years and since 1993 into therapeutic work.
Karrim qualified in Remedial Massage and Manipulation in that year
and this remains at the core of his bodywork. It involves deep tissue
techniques to assist the client's body to return to normal functioning
and where necessary, heal itself. It thus, for example, enables deep
seated tension to be released; deposits and scar tissues to be broken
down; compressed joints and nerves to be freed, clearing consequential
pain; blood and lymphatic circulation to be enhanced, boosting the
immune system and fostering healing; sluggish colonic evacuation to
be improved etc.
Karrim
is a firm believer in the holistic approach and sees each client as
a unique individual and not just a set of symptoms. He also believes
that the capacity to be healed lies within each individual and his
role is to help create the right conditions for this to happen. To
better enable this, he has trained and qualified in a number of other
therapies listed above, which add the dimension of energy balancing
in the eastern sense to his work. He offers these as stand alone therapies
as well as incorporating them in his remedial work.
